That water is really dark. I have water nightmares from time to time, and I had one where I was in a boat with 2 men. They chained me to a big concrete block, and threw me over, right next to a dam... where the water is very deep. Sinking in pitch black silence... I sank for a long time... then, somehow I got loose, and swam like hell to the top. I climbed onto the top of the damn very fast... and I just layed there at the edge of the concrete... couldn't find the strength to move away from it. I just stared into the black water, scared to death practically of what might have been at the bottom. Anyway, nice photo lol

You're right, it is blurry but the dark water and the granit (?) wall contrast really well. Love the ripples too (of course).

I love it! The texture, contrast and toning are really excellent.

Your sense of composition betrays that you're a designer -- this photo is extremely well composed to draw the eye from the top, left hand corner (where the eye usually starts be default) through the entire photo diagonally. All of the elements in the photo are necessary and used efficiantly to maintain interest throughout the frame.

Well done. Keep these dam photos comin'!

the focal point is very nice and framed very well. seems like the black and white really enhances the imagery and makes it more intriguing. it almost looks like a nuclear power plant like this.

I like the shot, as the subject is very nice. The round whatevers (lol) are a very nice focus for the shot, but I think the black and white makes this shot a little less interesting than it could be, but then again I do not know how it would look in color. Overall, very nice shot, but for me the background just looks a bit odd, and I cant put my finger on it.

Do I feel another bad "dam" joke coming on?? Maybe some other time Like this one, nice contrast and really shows lots of difference in the textures, I like how some of the white cylinders are covered, looks really cool.
