Mei Lee’s Temple was a live action educational preschool show created by couple Ming & Jin Lee in 1989, the show starred Mei Lee: a 10ft tall full body female red panda puppet, but in 1999 the show was suddenly canceled & the Toronto studio where the show was filmed was shut down & locked up.
In 2002 four teenagers who were part of show from 1991 to 1994 left their homes to “try and rescue their old furry friend”, they preformed a ritual to bring Mei to life but the ritual also gave Mei dark powers and made her evil. As thanks Mei put the four teens into the hole in her tummy and turned them into puppets (Miriam into a Japanese Badger, Abby into a Stripped Skunk, Priya into a Common Raccoon and Tyler into a Giant Otter)
All four teens were quickly reported as missing. A few months later a teenage girl named Stacy Frick remembered that she let one of the missing teens barrow something from her the day they went missing so at night she heads to the studio to find it.
