Description Based off of a long lost film from Italy known as Le Avventure di Pinocchio which is a film based off of the same name and I took inspiration of that exact lost film, especially the design of Pinocchio himself
here are the links: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adve… and lostmediawiki.com/The_Adventur…
I really LOVE the original story of how a talking piece of wood going to nightmarish events like getting attacked by a snake or getting mugged and hanged before he was rescued by the fairy herself later on when he suffered enough
my favorite part of the original story of Pinocchio was the fight between Geppetto and Antonio where they bite each other and took each other's wigs (it was hilarious and made my day) and the ending was much more satisfying than Disney's take on him because not only did Pinocchio become a real boy, he also got a beautiful home, Geppetto was healthier and cleaner and he also had beautiful clothes to wear and that rotten fox and cat got their punishment for manipulating and robbing Pinocchio by getting injured
Unfortunately this film never got the light of day nor did it get finished so Italy can get it's first official and proper cartoon and beat Disney to it by the way before Disney gave us this overrated piece of garbage that (kinda) ruined Pinocchio by making it too happy and changing stuff like making Pinocchio an idiot, not punishing that "Honest John" or Foulfellow or something and Gideon. And also avoiding the fight between Geppetto and Antonio. (the only good thing was the music and making Jiminy Cricket)
Happy Anniversary to Pinocchio, he was probably made since July 7th 1883 I believe somewhere in Collodi, Italy
