Description
Put the CE-2 into some space scenes. The thrust effects came with the Dropship Griffin model so I didn't have to do any extra work setting up a thrust trail. This is the CE-2 made from a Griffin Dropship enlarged to 400% and modified with the new bridge and under-wing modules as well as some light emission points. The Griffin was 1/4 the listed size of a Corellian CE-2 (many people use the Mobquet Medium Transport image for the CE-2, but that doesn't fit the original description/silhouette from Pirates and Privateers which first introduced the design). I expanded the Griffin and Added a few extras (new cockpit area and a couple underslung cargo/accessory modules), then put Sterling and Faith into a couple images for scale.

While CE-2s could be added later in a story due to their very low cost the idea was to use it in place of Fortuna giving the character a common looking ship which would fit in at most shipyards. The CE-2 is considered a medium transport, but only requires a crew of 2 and carries as much cargo as many full size bulk carriers. The down side is it's no tougher than the smaller YT series ships making it a more tempting prize for pirates (more cargo with no more defense).

In my priority build system a character could get a rundown (minor penalties but still runs) as a level 2 perk, or they could by one outright with level 3 resources. Getting one in good shape or with some modification could be done as a level 3 perk or a direct purchase with level 4 resources (I'm looking at a level 4 resources build for Sterling to start him with all his custom gear in hand rather than trying to excuse him beginning without his equipment).
