My story group with the fantasy start (in the AD&D cross the main character is from a cyberpunk style earth with AD&D magic and monsters, but he starts out marooned on Oerth - from Greyhawk setting after getting separated from a looting team by a magical trap, first story/stories will be him gaining the magic or magic components to get back to his home world). A natural question in the setting is does he want to go back to modern conveniences or just get his family and come back to the largely uncontrolled regions of the fantasy world (magic makes up for a lot of technology).
