he thought to himself, there was so much going on, it was nothing like sweet apple acres. it wasn't safe, he didn't feel safe and the uneasy feeling only heightened when he heard a voice that was all too loud and all too friendly. soon he was able to connect the bubbly voice with a red-haired mare who seemed to be wearing a similar uniform as he was. she wasn't much shorter than him infact she was quite tall since Ben was above average height for his age, almost being as tall as his uncle Big Mac.

"Hey there spots, you must be Benitoite Jam! Benny, right? Pleasure to meet ya Benny. I think it's safe to say I'm one of the first ponies you've met here, huh? Heard you're from a farm. what's that like? Probably messy, might wanna stick with me if you wanna get anywhere Benny-"

she spoke so fast Ben nearly choked on his words trying to confirm his identity, though he figured speaking up would be beneficial to get her to shut up even momentarily. his brows knitted his expression mostly flat as the mare continued on he had started to drown her out before finally saying something.

"I don't remember askin' for a guide, what's your name?" he stared before questioning her. trying to control whatever accent he might've had he tried to keep in mind how his grandmother Spoiled Rich would criticize his mannerisms and tried his best to hold the manners he could. to his distaste he noticed the unicorns expression shift to a more shocked in awe kind of look.

"you really are a country pony!"

hardly.

"I'm Robin, Robin Showstopper! Beloved sister of Flim and Flam. Ya heard of 'em? They're both real popular around Las Pegasus-"

my boy benny and a new character, Robin Showstopper! her name is still a wip but i like it rn. She's the younger sister of everyones favorite twins Flim and Flam and id consider them canterlot influentials.
she uses she/her pronouns

ben absolutely despises her for the most part she's just too much for him. she's popular around school and sort of treats less popular students as pets, hence this first interaction. I've thought about these two a lot and eventually Robin falls horn over hooves- head over heels for this over exaggerated country boy and he doesn't return her affections. if you've seen the show id sort of describe them as Juno and Legoshi from Beastars.

now, Benny is the son of Diamond Tiara and Apple Bloom. for context Spoiled Rich, his grandmother sent him off to an expensive boarding school in canterlot to get him away from the farm. he hates it but didn't really have a choice.

there are others he likes but Robin isn't necessarily one of them. He'd rather be back on sweet apple acrea than in some snobby school for rich unicorns.

besides. his accent isn't even that thick.. or he likes to think so. it gets stupidly noticeable when he's irritated or tired and since Robin drains him he sounds a lot like his Aunt Aj when around her
