Description
I recently got the book “Rise of the Empire” and I loved the short story Mercy Mission. I decided to draw the crew of the Eclipse, though I did some design changing for Tay with the help of my friend Nabulos
The Sephi in the comics are really just purple space elves, and in the book Tay is described with long tapered ears that can move to fit her mood. So I made her ears more dog-like as opposed to catlike since there’s a BUNCH of cat-like Star Wars aliens already, lol.
Rhedon was decribed as unremarkable except for a blaster on her hip, so I drew her from after she gets severely burned on the face by an exploding board.
Ul’ligan was probably the hardest because I hadn’t really drawn a Nikto before. I used ref of the Nikto Jedi Master from Clone Wars and the Nikto on Jabba’s sail barge to create him.
Goll is probably the simplest next to Baratha. I knew Goll was a Twi’lek so I did the lekku around the neck bit for him, and Baratha I had her look a bit stuck up and snooty.
