As to the technical side of the picture, I think the slight over exposure (high iso) actually works as it gives a shiny, warm sort of a look. It also helps bring out the red in the guy on the right's hair.

As the one poster commented a few below, just keep an eye on your ISO setting and you'll be fine. General rule of thumb, on a clear day set it as low as it'll go.
