Description
A character for a short story I was writing that might evolve into a comic, or heavily illustrated, longer, written out story. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it steampunk, diselpunk, or some weird not quite either fantasy story (kinda like FFIX technology).I'm also not even sure about the character in a couple of spots: like age, social class, and (the biggest one) gender. While I have a couple of gay characters in my stories, none of them are front and center, so I've toyed around with the idea of a lesbian main character. But I also kinda want to have a trans character for the same reasons. But there's also some part of me that just wants a really young male gunslinger.
My biggest thing is that I have to not push this character into what I want them to be, if that makes any sense. A lot of times, I find my best writing comes from characters where their personality seems to do the work for me - because in my mind, I didn't make them, they made themselves, and I'm just lucky to write it all down.
And now that I sound like a crazy person, I'm just going to end with: I named the character Shiloh because it was a unisex Jewish name that I liked, so that no matter what I decided later on, the name could still work.
[EDIT:] PS. I totally colored that first one in crayon at work. Thought I should share that.
