Sadie had dreamed of being able to train, show, and work with horses since she was a little girl. Picking up and absorbing everything she could like she was a little sponge. Leasing horses and working at barns in trade for lessons or riding time. Her family was well-off and her dad had pitched in to pay for local schooling shows and the like. Sadie had to worked for the things she wanted and the life that she wanted for her self. So she worked her little butt off and now she's finally been given the chance at working with one of the new horses at the stables. That's how DJ came into her life and she knew that she wanted their debut to be at the Australian Warmblood Trials.
Sadie had checked the weather three times before leaving the comfort of her lodging, bright yellow coat on and her Australian Warmblood march underneath. She couldn't help but to tease Nick a bit for his lack of jacket when they had met up on the show grounds before the inspection classes started up. It was a very brief meet-up as she has places to be and wanted DJ in tip top shape.
After 20 minutes of doing some touch-ups to DJ, they'd found themselves in the outdoor arena for their inspection class. It didn't come as a surprise when the rain started to come down. DJ wasn't bothered any, keeping her same pace as they trotted around for the judges. Despite the icky feeling of the cold and damp seeping in through her tall boots, the tacky feeling of wet clothes against her skin, Sadie kept smiling. She whispered soft praises and encourage to DJ, making promises of a dry stall and yummy treats after they finished. A little bit of wind and rain wouldn't damper their debut. (309 wc)
