This is in a way a precursor to a story I’ve been trying to come up with for Pokémon. This is the second picture I ever made for this version of the story and was debating when to post it because it is very vague on what’s happening in the comic. All in all I spent a lot of time on it so I felt that it should at least get a chance to shine.

Basically, for anyone who wants a little more info, I’ll explain a bit. Of course you don’t have to read it if you don't care or just want to use your own interpretation of it . . .

Ada (Oc) was trying to help a wounded Charizard (background) who was captured and enslaved by Team Rocket. A Slowpoke and a Mimikyu were the first to find him and “rushed” (lol cause it’s Slowpoke) off to find help, that’s when they stumbled across Ada’s home. They lead her to the Charizard and she immediately set to aid him. He had been wearing the chains for so long that he now had permanent scars beneath them.

Since he was wounded she tried very hard to be gentle as she set him free but something went wrong, whether he heard something nearby and got scared or she had accidentally hurt him, she didn’t know. But he started thrashing around and in all the panic he accidentally used Flamethrower at Slowpoke and Mimikyu. At the last second Ada threw herself in front of the two Pokémon and shielded them from the scorching hot blast.

At this point Ada had already met Mewtwo ( X ) and although they he wouldn’t consider them to be friends per say, she had helped him when he was injured. As his injury was quite recent it was only that night that he decided to head off on his own. But the moment he sensed she was in danger he immediately took off to find her.

That’s the most I can explain for now. I’m still in the process of writing several important chapters that take place a while later after this comic takes place. but I thought I’d at least put it here for your enjoyment. I would like to do more small comics like this, especially for Pokémon. I already have another one that I should get to work on that takes place right after “Assessing the Damage” illustration.

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy as only two weeks ago did I quit my job to take some time to self evaluate my heath and stress/anxiety. You’ll definitely see a lot more illustrations from me in the coming weeks.
