Hereditary Traits: Must show all three base colors for Harlequine offspring. Since Mortix is mainly white in color, white will cover at least 50% of all his offspring, colts and fillies. FACIAL MARKINGS DO NOT PASS ON!

Personality: Mortix will have no one near him. His silent disposition is deceiving, a monster hiding behind slow calculated movements as he stalks alone. He obeys no one and no halter can hold him. No amount of mares can calm him down; no amount of fields can free his wild spirit. Piercing green marbles will stare with hatred at you for even glancing at him without his permission. Mortix is one wild equine Miss Willbarro has left alone to himself. She is sure once he can learn to trust her, that she can turn him into the perfect show horse if only he would let her near. His rage is hot, his thirst for vengeance burning in his mind because of his imprisonment and cruel past of mental abuse. The stallion will throw tempers around when there is too much commotion or stress or noise. The stallion will only be calm if there is complete and dead silence around him, so he has his own private paddock and stall. His one weakness is his never-ending wish to be clean and fresh and healthy. But even then, often the hand that brushes and feeds him is under attack by his teeth. A deep hiss rises in his throat when he is groomed and it does not ever stop until he is once again left alone. Sometimes he has even charged the groomer for not leaving his field fast enough.

History: Mortix was stolen from a circus after a few groomers form Willow Tree Stables saw a traveling circus with Harlequine stallions and mares. The stallion was only 3 when the young groomers happened upon him in their sneaking around the circus grounds. Chained and living in horrid conditions, the nearly dead stallion was quickly taken without further thought back to the Stable. Miss Willbarro filed animal abuse on the Circus, and was given legal protection over a few stallions she picked out before the rest where given to safer more caring families around the country. A few days later, reports came in that nearly all the Harlequine horses had been abused in some way, mentally or physically. Mortix did grow healthy under the watch of the Mistress’s attentive care, but even the stallion knew that she was human and that fact alone had him grow to hate her as he had for the other people from the circus. He is simply not able to be tamed, despite Miss Willbarro’s hopes.
