I’ve had this gator puppet since I was five or so, and have wanted to turn them into a full fledged character for a while, but because I’m a mentally ill menace, I’ve specifically written them so they can fit in The Muppets, DHMIS, and Welcome Home all at the same time (they are my three puppet related hyper fixations and there are so many puppets in my brain help)

the muppets

grew up in a swamp not far from where Kermit lived. Kermit and the muppets were a huge inspiration for them, watching the muppet show, and many movies constantly. They specifically fell in love with the stories the muppets would tell through the film and shows they were in and ultimately inspired them to begin writing and storytelling. Eventually, after leaving the swamp just like Kermit, they got a job writing scripts for the muppets. They’re never on stage or in front of the camera, but always just off the wings, watching the performances they wrote come to life with the help of the muppets who inspired them.

DHMIS

they’re a teacher who tries to teach the trio about the wonders of writing. The three don’t listen and instead plagiarize other authors work. This ultimately causes the authors who were plagiarized to storm up to the house and demand justice, and the trio turn to Auggie for help, but they refuse to do anything, as the trio brought this upon themselves. Ultimately they just walk out, and the trio is torn apart (literally) by the angered authors, who tore the door down, for their copying.

Auggie was a simple hand controlled puppet with rod controlled arms.
According to recovered scripts, Auggie used to live in a swamp outside the neighborhood, but moved into town to help kickstart their writing career. Auggie was introduced in a later episode, where do to their somewhat sharper and more frightening appearance the episode focused on the message of “never judge a book by it’s cover”, which is also why Auggie is an author in the show.
Auggie has a very tense relationship when it comes to Wally Darling, do to him once promising to draw the cover for Auggie’s new book, but never getting it done. They were normally seen with Sally, with Their relationship being sort of an employee and employer type deal, as they were frequently tasked to come up with stories for Sally’s performances.
