Yeah, it hasn't even been a month since I "left". And here I am again. You can take the Squid out of dart but you can't take the deviant out of Squid, or something like that.
About a week after I made that post, I got a message from an artist I had requested a commission from before, and were open to drawing wrestling stuff. So I threw together a couple of designs and some ideas and told them my budget, and asked how many of the ideas they would draw for that budget. They ended up saying that could draw all three ideas for that budget, which is pretty great honestly.
Fast forward to last Saturday. I had just freshly injured my rib at a metal concert so I was down in the dumps because of that, not to mention I had to work with an injured rib. That is when this artist gives me the sketches, and they look amazing. They took the rush job sketches I did for the character designs and made such nice, soulful drawings. And honestly, since then, I couldn't get this character out of my brain. And with my injured rib, I'm sitting at my computer more than usual, so of course I grabbed my tablet and started drawing Staci properly.
This is the result, and I'm happy with the result. I have a bunch more sketches of her and the character she will be fighting in the commissions, a guy called Rex.
Thank you to everyone for leaving nice comments and for continuing to look at my stuff. I hope I can continue to draw, even if its just the Staci and Rex drawings.
These two fit into the Karen's club squidverse BTW. Staci is Victoria's twin sister, and also best friends with Rex's sister. Rex meanwhile is a member of the Red Leaf club (the same boys club that Thomas and Harris etc are in). Who Rex's sister is I haven't decided yet. The story behind Staci and Rex fighting is that Rex began bragging about being an unbeatable fighter - so his sister introduces him to Staci. While it's probably predictable how this turns out, since I'm me, I won't spoil anything until the commissions are done.
