I think Gaster deserves to be a gently mad algorithmization/discrete maths/graph theory teach.
Borůvka’s algorithm is an algorithm for finding minimal spanning tree in a graph, basically figuring out how to connect a set of points while using he least amount of resources! It was used, besides other things, during the electrification of Bohemia. It is sometimes known as the Sollin’s algorithm (as in, mostly, especially in English literature. we just like Borůvka here okay lmao). That’s your dumb fact of the day.
Borůvka’s name also literally means blueberry
