Balte split off from the group early into their journey. Rikaari always made too much noise for proper hunting, and it was Balte's job to bring back a half decent meal at the end of the day. With so many wyverns in their group now, it was impossible for Rikaari to cover it all. Balte was responsible though. As the oldest wyvern in the flight, she knew just where to find the biggest deer, and she knew just how to sneak up on them. One should be enough meat to get her through the afternoon. Two, and she'd be able to bring back dinner for everyone else.
