Description: A new and improved version intended to replace the Mod.13. Uses a rear locking lug design and cock-on-closing feature similar to the SMLE and features a chromium barrel for sustained fire. With a detachable 10 round magazine. It eventually replaced the Mod.13 in the 1930's. The normal variant was retired from the army in 1949 but auxiliary units used it well into the 1960's as well the sniper variant which continued to see use in many conflicts.
