I usually just copy the style of the anime that I am drawing it from, but this time I wanted to try drawing him and making him more "my own" ... which is a bit more difficult for me to do, but it was fun ^___^

The umbrella is BEAUTIFUL, it really captures the real Shigure xP I love Shigure. He's the best.

haha Glad you like the umbrella, and as far as him not looking the manga or anime --- That was actually on purpose.
I didn't want to draw him in the same style because I know that I can I guess. To me it's more impressive if you can pull off drawing a character well enough that he is recognizable and it's in your own style and not that of the original artist. So that's what I tried to do.
