Look everyone, I finally uploaded a thing before the end of the year *insert fanfare sound effect here*

Started this in late October and meant to try to finish about a month ago, but I did it all in Procreate while simultaneously learning how to use it - it ended up taking just a silly amount of time, LOL. I learned a lot though! Hopefully I'll be able to finish the next piece a little faster...hopefully.

So this is a redraw of a piece I did back in 2016 - www.deviantart.com/arborpunk/a…

Even though it was a really simple piece I always really liked it, so much that it was the wallpaper for 4 years on my last phone

The context behind the original was that I was feeling really inspired by the Bastille song/music video of the same name (www.youtube.com/watch?v=vn-6fi… ) and some of the demonic imagery ~ This was right around halloween so I had the idea that Cavi had an extremely edgy Baphomet costume, and he just took off the head for the picture. I never did draw what the head looked like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For the redraw I had a couple goals in mind: Improve the lighting situation (check), fix his pose/expression so it looks more interesting (check, I think you can probably tell now he is devious), and work on the outfit a little bit. Because the original was SUPPOSEDLY "Baphomet costume" I thought about making it more goat-y, but I ultimately couldn't decide the best way to do it. 8Ta For the most part I just drew the pieces better, with the only major change being the boots. The idea of "Goat Boots" reminded me of Nny from JTHM - I didn't really want to draw those directly though so I gave Cavi a less dramatic split and made the rest up.

Overall I'm pretty happy with how it came out! Glad I could end the year on an extremely shiny note.
