I think for his backstory would probable be set somewhere around the book series. His mother a silkwing flew from Pantala to Pyrrhia, met a muring and fell in love. The silkwing went back to Pantala. Then after awhile Louis hatched, and due to the fact he was a hybrid word got around to queen Wasp. He was put into the flamesilk system as soon as he could breath fire. He was marked with a 4 and was shown around the kingdom like a pawn.
When he was old enough, he flew to Pyrrhia. He was delicate but he managed to survive the flight and began to live in possibility. He was a bit odd to the eye of others, but he relatively fit in. He lied he was part night. His scales fit well with the nightwing species.
That’s a idea for his backstory in Pyrrhia, I could probable go into more detail. But this is simple, yet gives a idea about his character.
