“So how do you know when they will show up?” Cruz Ramirez asked, looking down the streets of Tokyo. Sally Carrera replies “I’ve known Stickers for a long time, and the most distinct feature about him is the way his engine roars. It’s like a mix between a Tyranamissiasaurus Rex and a Lion. Also, there would be an orange flash of light reflecting onto the buildings.” Sally has been looking forward to this night for a long time. She was going to reunite with her boyfriend and his buddies: Cal Weathers, Bobby Smith, Tokyo Mater, and the legendary Dragon Lightning McQueen. As Cruz was looking around at the bright and lively city, she hears a noise that sounded like an engine. “Hold on! Is that what I think it is?” She peered down the street, and sure enough, a bright orange light reflected onto the walls of each of the skyscrapers. “It’s him! It’s the Dragon Warrior!”

At that moment, three racing cars and a blue tow truck came drifting around the corner and flashed down the street towards the crowd. In front, there was McQueen. He had golden rims on his wheels, two extended pairs of tailpipes, a silver dragon shaped like a lightning bolt on his sides, and a spoiler that has ends shaped like a dragon’s tail. Behind him was Cal Weathers, and his friend Bobby Smith. And finally, at the back, was Tokyo Mater, king of all the drifters. “Stickers!” Sally cried, and sped towards her lover. “Hey, Sal. I missed you!” Lightning says as he kisses the side of her hood. “Mr. McQueen! It’s nice to see you again, and you look smokin’ hot!” Cruz says as she approaches the drifter. “Hey, Cruz! How’s the off-season treating ya?” Cruz backed away slowly after hearing her colleague’s voice. “Cruz, what’s wrong?” “Oh, nothing’s wrong. It’s just…well… your voice. It sounds like you are a genuine BADASS!” Lightning was suprised by that answer. “Oh, thanks! However, you don’t know the true meaning of badass, Ramirez.” Sally and Cruz were confused about what he meant, but Mater, Cal, and Bobby knew that he was about to demonstrate what the Dragon Warrior can do. “Stand back, everyone! This is what ‘badass’ really is!” Lightning announced, and began to show off an expertly-choreographed series of punches, kicks, and swipes. “Wow! That’s so cool!” Cruz cheered for Lightning. “Oh, that is not all that Dragon Lightning McQueen can do!” And just like that, he begins to do doughnuts in the center of the road, while his tailpipes belched red hot flames in a circular pattern. When he stopped, he looked up into the sky and started to blow fire out of his mouth. DRAGON STYLE was written in the flames. “Now THAT, is badass!” McQueen announces, and then bows. Everyone cheered and applauded him for his amazing demonstration! “That was great, Stickers!” Sally cheered. “Thanks, Sal.” said McQueen. Then, out of the blue, Mater came up tp him.

“So buddy, just wanna know something.” Mater tells Lightning. “What’s that, Mater?” The drift car responds. Tokyo Mater looks at Sally, Cruz, Cal, Bobby, and Smokey, and then back at Dragon McQueen. “How did you truly become all of this?” Mater asks, pointing his front tire at his best friend’s modifications. Lightning looks at Mater, then to his friends. “Are you sure I should tell this to you guys? It is a little bit intense and possibly even dark.” Bobby scoffed and said, “Come on, Lightning! We’re drift racers! We can handle anything that comes out way!” Lightning looks at Bobby, and then to Mater, Cal, Sally, Cruz, and his other Radiator Springs buddies. He sighs and says, “Oh, alright. I guess I’ll tell you guys the story of how I became Dragon Lightning McQueen.”

During a Drift showcase in Tokyo, Dragon Lightning McQueen, Cal Weathers, Bobby Smith, and Tokyo Mater meet up with some friends from America who are around for the week. They all came to see the duo together as a team. After McQueen shows of some of his powers, like his kung-fu skills and his dragon abilities, Mater asks him how he became who is today.
