Description Telo and Zin looked up. The pyramid rose high amidst the desert, a Lucario-like mask statue standing tall against one side, and the entrance was at the base of the mask. They double checked their map and nodded. This was their destination! The Temple of Anubis, a legendary Lucario Warlord from centuries ago. The temple had been raided many times and taken over to be used as a base just as many times, but no matter what eventually its ownership passed back to the sands of time.
This was their first big mission as the Silver Souls Exploration Team. They had done some small, local work but the two wanted to try something more exciting! The trip to the ancient temple to find a missing Zoroark was just what they needed! Plus it meant Zin and Telokey got to spend a lot of time in close proximity in their tent. Finally they had arrived, and under the hot sun, only miserable to the Liepard, the two entered the dark depths of the Temple of Anubis, unaware of the eyes watching them from above.
The two pulled out lanterns, adding more light to the dimly illuminated hallways. Torches, braziers, and other flames flickered throughout the temple, but the stronger lanterns of the explorers were a welcome addition.
“Alright, so we’re looking for a blue-maned Zoroark,” Telokey said, rereading the request. The pay was really high, it’d allow Telokey and Zin to finally start saving some money, normally they spent nearly every Pokédollar they made, on food or other supplies, or their personal needs. This big mission though would change that!
They listened carefully, Telokey moreso than Zinnick due to his gigantic ears, but there was nothing but the flames crackling. He smiled, signalling it was safe to Zinnick, so hand in hand the two headed deeper into the depths. It was alright, nothing could go wrong while the two of them were together.
The shiny Noivern’s ear twitched, he heard something, it sounded like…someone crying out for assistance! It was muffled though, that was a common sound Telokey had heard many a time. Someone gagged was begging for assistance!
“Wait!” Telokey said, holding Zin close to him, lifting his head and tilting around, trying not to listen to the sound of his better half’s breathing and heart beat, trying to listen for the cry for help. He turned slowly, had the victim been gagged even more thoroughly? No, there it was again! “There!” he pointed…straight at a wall.
“Really darling?” Zin laughed, squeezing the bat’s rump, turning the sexy beast a little bit, just further down the corridor there was another passageway. The two walked towards it, and immediately there was another cry for help, or perhaps there was a kinky sex act going on…in the middle of a notoriously dangerous temple. Not likely.
“That must be the Zoroark we are looking for,” Telokey said, lifting his lantern high as the two slowly advanced. They knew they should rush, as the blue-maned Zoroark could be in severe danger, but at the same time if they weren’t careful they could end up in just as much danger as their target.
They heard the muffled noises continuing, growing louder and louder as the two approached. The room was just ahead, then they heard another noise, a new voice rising over the mumbles and crackles of fire.
“Enter mortals, and face your demise!” the confident being called out to them. Had we been so loud someone had heard us? Telokey and Zin wondered, and judging by the sound of the voice whoever it was speaking was the person who had gagged the other. They nodded at each other, not needing to speak. This was going to be dangerous, and they knew as ever they had each other’s backs, no matter what the danger!
They stepped into the room and scanned the area quickly. The room was square and high, with webs stretching over the roof and blocking one of the four doors the room had. The outside of the room had a ledge to walk on, while there was a platform in the middle of the room which, only if one were athletic or could fly, one could leap to. Though doing so was dangerous, aside from the platform and the small sections near the wall the entire area was filled with quicksand. It didn’t even make any sense! Quicksand wasn’t actually found in deserts! But they couldn’t focus on the illogicalness of the situation, as something far more pressing drew their attention.
Standing on the platform wearing golden armbands, anklets, a fancy pharaohesque collar, a headdress, and a silken manskirt was a black Lucario with golden markings, a khopesh held in one hand which he held with the practiced ease of an experienced warrior. Compared to the minor bandits and feral Pokémon the two lovers had fought this would be a true battle, one where they risked life or limb for victory.
And win they must, for there was a second Pokémon here! Linen bandages ensnared most of the unlucky girl’s body, her arms crossed over her chest with her hands resting on her shoulders. Even the Zoroark’s huge mane was bound up in the linen. Her entire head was covered, even her ears. Whoever mummified the girl was good, as the linens stretched and moved with the Zoroark’s body, and yet never parted to let Telokey and Zin see the trapped girl. Likely it was their blue-maned Zoroark, but even if it wasn’t it didn’t matter, for the girl was currently belly-deep in the quicksand and still sinking deeper! They would have to act fast, but with the khopesh-wielding Lucario around, anything they did would be difficult.
“You, trespassers who dare to defile my father’s temple, leave this sacred place or else join this tomb raider in her eternal slumber!” the black Lucario declared, pointing his khopesh at the lovers, slowly waving it, making the light from the torches flicker and dance along its length. It was rather hypnotic, like a solid river of gold.
“Not without her,” Zin said, taking a small run and leaping across the sand, landing on the platform and smirking. Not such a hard leap after all! Though the platform felt a lot smaller than it looked now that he was on it with his opponent. “I’d rather not fight but if you won’t back down neither will we!” Telokey got the plan immediately, spreading his wings and leaping into the air.
“Mmm! Mmmm!” the sinking Zoroark cried out, still muffled by her bindings. Hopefully they wouldn’t trap her for long. The Noivern flexed his feet, they were designed for hanging onto things while he slept, so they could definitely be used to hold the Zoroark’s shoulders and he could pull her out! A fine idea, but when he drew near to execute it the khopesh slashed at him with nearly super-Pokémon speed.
“She will rest in the temple forever; do not take her final gift from her!” the Lucario growled, dodging to the side as a feline foot kicked out at him. He too was realizing this would be a difficult fight, the bat and cat were no ordinary tomb raiders. He had dealt with many before, they would be like the passing of the sands to one such as him. Forgotten by all except those who cared about them, though evidently not enough to protect them from entering his temple, and thus sealing their fates, condemned to be embalmed and buried like the black Lucario had been taught to do.
The Liepard, of course, had no intention of being forgotten, or losing this fight. He wasn’t a fan of fighting really, he’d much rather relax and let other people do all the work while he admired their booties, but after seeing the Lucario point a khopesh at his darling Telokey’s face? Well, there were just somethings even Zin would not stand for! His long, lithe legs kicked out, forcing the Lucario away while Telokey flew into the air before dropping down, claws latching onto the mummified fox. A muffled yelp reached his ears from the poor Zoroark, but he couldn’t try to get a more comfortable grip for the fox, she was sinking fast! It was fast approaching her shoulders, and if those went under there was nowhere for Telokey to hold onto!
He flapped hard, looking down, watching the sand slowly slurping the victim deeper into its depths, he couldn’t let this happen! He would save her!
The Lucario meanwhile wanted nothing more than to slash at the shiny Noivern, drive him away from the temple’s newest resident, but the feline was too much of a hassle for the jackal to break away from! Whenever he took a step towards the bat and mummy the damn cat was right there with a punch or a kick, once again forcing the temple guardian to back away from the Noivern and focus on the Liepard. Whenever he slashed his blade, the Liepard practically teleported away from the strike, and likewise anytime the cat attacked the Lucario evaded easily, switching to a counterattack rapidly. Both two talented fighters, neither landing a blow, but even so it was a dangerous fight, their paws nearly slipping into the quicksand, which would be a fatal mistake.
“Come on, come on,” Telokey grunted, still trying his best to lift the unfortunate mummy up, yet it seemed like he was losing! His claws touched the sand, the mummy squirming, she knew what was happening, she was going to drown in sand and be a real mummy forever! It was terrifying, and perhaps maybe a little arousing…
She cried out words of support to whoever was saving her, though still it only came out as mumbles, she was completely at the mercy of her saviour. If he let go for a minute then the fox would be doomed. She tried to remain as still as she could, despite the welling terror, growing arousal, and slight pain, she needed to be saved!
Click-click-click-click!
The sound wasn’t normal, but even so it didn’t draw anyone’s attention, except the mummified fox. She had heard it before, that noise was what led to her being captured by the black Lucario.
“Mmm! Mmmm!” she cried out in terror, squirming, sinking into the quicksand a bit more and pulling the Noivern down with her, but she had to warn them! Even if she was close to going under, the sand now reaching her neck. “Mmmm!” They needed to know they were in terrible danger!
“Hey, stop squirming! I don’t want to drop you,” Telokey said, sweating with the effort, a fact Zin would be enjoying, were he not finally growing aware of the noise, looking out to the side when able, eyes growing wide with terror.
Purple, glowing eyes came from the darkness, the clicking the hard tips of the feral Ariados’s legs as it rapidly ran into the room, running up a wall and onto its comfortable webbing above, somewhat hiding in the darkened, flickering shadows of the roof. Even still, only Zin and the mysterious black Lucario were aware of the horror that had joined them in the room!
Zin wanted to warn Telokey, but he was panting too hard from his fight, every time he tried to speak it was just a gasp, not enough to grab Telokey’s attention. His muscles ached, not having had to put up so much effort in so long! He was too lazy for this kind of thing!
Of course no matter how tired someone was, no matter how hard they were fighting for their life, there was always something that could spur one to greater action! In the case of the cute Zin? It was seeing the Ariados descending on the struggling bat!
“Telokey!” he cried out, slamming his shoulder into the Lucario and knocking him off his balance, the Liepard taking a little bit of a run and leaping at the feral Ariados, he needed to save his boyfriend.
“What?” the Noivern turned his head, eyes growing wide as his boyfriend leapt at him. What was he trying to do? Sink both him and the Zoroark? “Zin!” The Liepard let out a single cry as he was caught in the Ariados’s arms. Telokey unleashed a Boom Burst from his ears, but the Ariados easily swung away from the attack, retreating far too high for Telokey to attack again, if he did he might hit Zin! That would just break the poor bat’s heart, so instead he was forced to watch the most traumatic thing of all; his boyfriend being slowly wrapped up in webbing and carried off down a dark hallway, taken away from the bat.
“Er, uh, yes,” the black Lucario, still standing on the platform, he had just barely avoided falling into the shifting sands after Zin’s attack, his khopesh picked up from the sand before it sank. “This is the judgement of my father, yeah, definitely, so, er, his body shall be mummified in the sands of this tomb forever!” he called out, before leaping off the platform and fleeing down a corridor, far away from the one the Ariados went down. It seemed even the temple’s guardian was terrified of the large Ariados.

I want to imagine that the Lucario felt so much like an Egyptian that he paints himself everyday with black ink to look like Anubis.
