A sketch request from the cool *cool-slayer about one of the funniest tv shows around "Scrubs"This is Dr.John Dorian "JD".. (aka:Zach Braff)
All done with digital pen on Photoshop and........ why da hell did i make him looking so goddamn serious anyway ? .... he's probably day dreaming again.....

..thats why i hate to make deviations from photo references actually.. you end up seeying works done from those same photos.... actually this was the first one haha... but that all depends.. like when i see some of ya stuff, i imagine you have some kind of photo references also, but you give it you'r own personal style, and that my friend FREAKING ROCKS!!! its like those deviants who only make vector pieces, i do love some of them.. but some of those pieces look like photos.. they look to real .. sure sure you need to have talent for that stuff, but i dont see a point in doing that actually.. right ?

I agree ... Totally. Most of that is technique and not skill - especially with the "traced" vector stuff. Some of the that stuff is bordeline disturbing in terms of realism ... But it reminds me of the airbrushed "hyper realism" stuff from years ago - I didn't like that either.
But just to repeat a photo or reference EXACTLY is a little odd to me, I can't see how they can do it without adding SOMETHING to it.... But some do - ha.
That's why I like to mix up the stuff I do - Go from cartoony to more realistic - Otherwise I don't see much point.
Do you find some of the "traced" vector stuff strangley life-less? They always seem quite dead to me.

yes, they look extremely life-less.. i rather look at the original photo instead.. the only "traced" vectors i like are the ones that can show you that same photo but in a more minimalistic style.. but even so vector stuff is not my fav stuff on DA..
i just read that they'r going to make an "American Ido" movie......... what a FUCK is happening people ??
