Thunderstar also got a revamp because in my last design he didn't look as ThunderClan-y as I want (read: Maine Coon-ish)
Skystar's design went through a lot of revisions 'till I found a design I liked. He's an old fart here because Thunder's pretty up there in age too now. I wanted his patterns to be similar to Thunder minus the tabby stripes. Maybe I'll draw him as a young Chad some other time. Stress from being angry all the time has aged him badly.
Can you tell when I started watching Song of the Sea?
Naw, I had Riverstar planned to be an ABSOLUTE UNIT from the very beginning. On tumblr I said that I like to think Willowbreeze, Silverstream, and Feathertail resemble Riverstar because reasons. His colors are mostly eyedropped from my Silverstream and Feathertail designs in fact lol
I also wanted to work in the subnose theme for ShadowClan with Shadowstar
