Description
Posting a bit of personal art since I've been drawing a lot of art for other people recently and wanted to work on one of my other characters I haven't drawn as much.
Meet M.A.R.C.I.E. She's a maintanence droid and part of the ship crew along with Twila, Zip, and 2 other characters named Krys and Ox (which I haven't finalized their designs yet). She can reconfigure her hands and gauntlets into all sorts of tools, weapons, and machinery. She's a little bit sassy, a bit of a showoff, and acts as the voice of reason on the ship along with Ox. Her Weapon/Tool of choice is a plasma torch, mainly because the ship needs to be repaired pretty often since the squad tends to crash it quite a lot.
Even though she can reconfigure her arms, I also decided to give her the ability to swap out her armour plating as well, similar to how clothes work.
The picture below was just a cool robot I drew a few years ago, I borrowed design elements from that to come up with the initial draft for Marcie, I combined that with a little bit of retro sci-fi influence, and some bolder shapes to create version 2.0
