Testing shadings and highlights on the white cat, didn't do much details on the black one though... I also tried some new techniques for my background. But this is an ooooooold painting, I just finished it lately (painting the black cat and doing the white outline) but I procrastinated for months to finish it...Related content

A very strong and bright display of work that has indicated to us how you talents continue to perfect to a master level of traditional media.
What allows this piece to become so strong the fluent and excellent array of tones applied and presented in the foreground and background of the work. The mixture of what looks like acrylic or oils for the background have particularly worked well and allow there to be a vibrant assortment of energy to come towards the work. The majority of warm tones that merge into one another are outstanding and have also allowed the cats to become much more expressive and visually captivating. This violent addition of brush work against the subtle tones on the cats is an excellent sign of experimentation and shows how far your talents are growing.

Oo, I really like this one...there really is sort of a yin-yang thing going on with it because of the detail in the white cat, then lack thereof in the black one. The colors in the background enhance them both. :3
