History:
He grew up in a region with very few opportunities for fishing. He wants to seek out legends--not Pokemon legends, but myths and fables in the world of fish, fossils, plants, space, bugs, you name it. He accidentally caught a Magikarp and has grown fond of it, but he has never made an attempt to train it. It usually helps him out while fishing by giving him some company. Inside the boat, of course. If it swam in the water it would scare away the real fish. He wears contacts that catch polarized light (which helps him see through water reflections www.revantoptics.com/blogs/the⦠). He also has several tattoos and piercings (he thinks fish are stylish and the earwear might attract fish if it's shiny enough...he probably isn't right about either).
