This is really inspiring, on first inspection it gives a sunset feel, as though the sun is setting or rising, but it's more likely I notice a fire raging through this beautiful forest, with hints of sparks floating above and on the ground. The smoke could also at first be mistaken as fog as it billows around this haunting deer, all the while giving a look that says all.
Though if you were trying to make the fire a main point of this piece it would need more emphasis, preferably the smoke and sparks, I almost passed them up.
Overall, very interesting visual perspective and lovely use of colors, beautiful work!
(Sorry if I'm short and blunt, but there would be too many words for me to use to describe such a wonderful piece, and I don't want to feel like I have to live up to everyone else's critiques)

It's subtle but the straighter trees, smoother textures, and especially the more defined stag with the eyes just grips even more than the original. Haunting and beautiful illustration I want to keep staring at <3
