Novian tank crew on the world of Totoket.

The above pictured turret is that of a Hoerscht 28 main battle tank, brought into service halfway through the Interwar Period. The design sought to minimize the vehicle's profile, keeping the gunner low inside the turret with only the mid section raised to accommodate the main gun. The design proved excellent for crew survivability, with the gunner protected behind multiple layers of excellently sloped plating and the driver and gunner protected within their own armored capsule in the front. Later versions of the tank added a fourth crew member to the front of the vehicle and lowered the position of the main gun. The only major downside was that the weapon compartments were completely inaccessible during combat, making repairs to the automated systems impossible until returning to a safer position.
