i made a poll here on DA asking what ocs yall want to learn/see more of and Fern won!!! u can still vote on the poll to let me know who i should upload about next!!1! u can find it fastest by clicking here :-3

lets talk about Fern!!!!!!

farmer's kid
currently being homeschooled
very lazy but mischievous~
constant owo face
going through a growth-spurt (very lanky and tall)
cares a lot about their nymph lineage/culture

top left drawing is how they looked before they had their hair cut (hair was cut by force, not a fun time :-[ )

their hair grows much slower than Sky's does so it stays rather short for most of the storyline
their magic is weak bc of their short hair (nymphs source their magic from their hair-- the longer it is the more magic they have to work with)
during the spring/summer their hair grows lots of little sprouts and tiny leaves <3
their hair was very messy and unkept before the big cut, but now it's easier to work with (and Fern is eager to have it grow back) so it 's much more silky and clean
once their hair gets longer they start to put it in a half bun style
right image is an example what they like to wear most days~!

masc clothing preferred
knitted sweaters and jeans during the winter/fall
overalls and button t-shirts during spring/summer
will wear their dad's straw hat from time to time
most their clothes are stained with dirt or grass
lots of pants are too short due to their growth-spurts
they like to have their shirts unbuttoned rather low, but their mom doesn't allow it
bottom left scribble is Fern w their youngest sister, Moss!!

Fern is the eldest child (age 14)
next is eldest sister Sage (age 12)
then middle brother Fig (age 9)
Moss, seen above, (age 7)
finally, baby brother Toad (age 4)
Fern is the eldest of 5 children!!! born of Clover (mom) and Cedric (dad, passed)
it's traditional to name plant nymphs after certain plants uwu
