It's Lance's duty as Jay's elder brother to tease him over noting just to get him worked up. It drove Jay insane when he was young but now that he's older and hasn't seen his brother in years he almost misses his big brother's obnoxious pestering.(Jay is about 12 here and Lance is probably 16. The Love Birds storyline starts when Jay is 21 so Lance would be about 25 at that point.)
