Pawmela Meowz reference pic.

Pawmela is an anthropomorphic cat reporter. She may not be the best reporter in the city but due to her workoholic nature, she's climbing up the ranks very quickly. However, she tends to take her job very seriously and has no qualms putting herself in danger to get a story, which often has ticklish consequences, something she really doesn't like.

She also almost never wears shoes. Due to the city being filled with anthropomorphic animals, shoes are not viewed as something that must be worn. Basically, in Pawmela's society, shoes are viewed the same as gloves or hats. You can wear them but you don't have to. Hence, why she's usually barefoot with a toe ring on her left middle toe.
