The demise of Jayna must have been a great shock for her considerable fan base.  Not only was she the favourite to win, as she was already a champion, but he muscularity of her physique, particularly the arms, and her size in general may have given her followers a sense that she was unbeatable.  Even if her injuries during this match were not career ending, it would have been very difficult to salvage her reputation.  Mental recovery and a regeneration of self belief would have been incredibly difficult to achieve after having been beaten by Jade the rookie fighter.  I get the impression that perhaps poor Jayna had reached an age where perhaps she should have retired on her terms, whilst still at the top of her game: not having them dictated in such a brutal way.  Unfortunately, as we can see in many of Jade's matches, she appears to use excessive terminating force, going well beyond what is necessary to achieve a knockout.  I consider Jade to be the most dangerous fighter in B.A.B.E. for that reason, I worry for my lovely Lana Sinclair, now she has returned to the league.  Sooner or later she will have to meet Jade again: will she be able to triumph this time?  I hope so, but fear for a bad outcome!
