Nessie and Ruth take a little trip to the Mervyn Peake Memorial Hotel.

'Well hen, whit’ dae ye think?' Asked Nessie. Ruth paced up and down, eyeing the avalanche of Mites, Woodlice, Cockroaches, Centipedes, Millipedes, Tarantulas, Plague Rats, Funnel Web Spiders, Gila monsters, Vampire Bats, Scale Worms and Cain Toads erupting from every crack of the floorboards, ceiling, carpet, curtains and kitchen.

'There's spiders in the bathtub, snakes in the swimming pool and I think that's blood in the towels. I absolutely love it! Thank you Ness! Thank you, thank you, thank you!' With a squeal she pounced, tightening her monkey arms around Nessie's jugular. She squirmed and turned turquoise but just about managed to cough out something halfway between a wheeze and a laugh.

'Awright, awright! No need tae f****n' choke me!'

'Sorry. I do get carried away. But this is brilliant! Just think of all the experiments I could get up to, so much to explore, so much to... dissect!' Said Ruth, smirking at a particularly chubby, oblivious rat nibbling on the brim of her suitcase. This was going to be fun.
