This really is a lovely perspective. I love how the whale is seen beneath them and you made the water really seem euhm... water-ish. Really nicely done

DANG the perspective is so cool on this! Usually overhead views can be hit and miss with me, but you totally nailed it. The perspective works so beautifully with the whale beneath them. You can really get a feel for the depth of the water and it's so awesome. I love how you've done the water and all the reflections in it. I know reflections and shimmers on water can be super difficult to get right but you really hit it out of the park. <3 The one on the whale's tail is my favorite, it looks so natural and pretty.

The entire atmosphere is so, so good. It's so mysterious and adventerous and GOSH, so pretty!

The fluidity of the entire picture (no pun intended) is so wonderful, too, you can really see the movement of the three of them swimming. I keep staring at this, it's so great. ;____; all the little details blow me away!

Those light reflections on the tail are my greatest achievement not gonna lie

They look fantastic. That is one huge ass orca though.

Though thinking about it, there may be giant orcas in a world where rideable beardogs exist, why not.

Thanks! I think it's something I'll start to use more in the future, the pieces I have with unusual perspectives are always the ones I like most.

Thank you!! Perspective is so tricky - it's easy to screw up, but when it works, damn does it ever look good.

I know! At my current skill level, I could never come up with something at that angle and make it look that good!
I don't practice perspective too much right now (:

Honestly, it's one of those things that you sort of get a feel for? The art program I use (clipstudio, same thing as mangastudio) has perspective ruler features - i didn't use them for this, but after a while of using it, you start to get a feel for where things should go. But, not gonna lie, half the time i just squint at my screen and resize parts of the sketch until it looks somewhat acceptable. It's a great thing to practice, though!

Yah, I bet! I will begin practicing that and doing BG's better when I don't have to rush pieces (I have a lot to do, so wanna get it done quickly).
I can't wait to begin going beserk and practicing like crazy!
