Ants are related to both bees and wasps, and like them are social insects. Ant colonies can include anywhere from a few dozen to millions of ants, divided into jobs or castes. There isn't a continent in the world that doesn't have ants living there. 🐜

My grandad loved ants. My grandma and him used to go to the park and he would bring them bread or seeds. He was mesmerised by how well organised and hard workers they were. If I was visiting he would show me the nests and we would both spend time contemplating them. As always my grandma would be near patiently waiting. 🤍

The ant I drew is a bit insecure about getting the sunflower seed. I wonder what would happen if ants had self-esteem. Am I strong enough to lift that? I am so small and that’s so big, how am I going to move it?
I guess they would have gone extinct…
