I think it was definitely the right decision not to sell him to that first hoax bidder. It would have been a shame to see him go to an art thief! It's really nice to see that your own appreciation of Mr. Eraserbutt is more important than the money. :3

I do love this guy! But I also need the money more than I need a new character - I'm trying to get the second-highest bidder payment (+ a little extra for nonsense-endurance - it's been a stressful and exhausting adventure in the world of adopts... and this is only my first real adopt) After one hoax, a handful of nasty comments, and a potential "technical-difficulty-preventing-payment bid", if this doesn't work, I think he will be my baby! ♥

I've noticed adopts (and the artists who make them) sometimes get an awful lot of hate on this site (but then, deviantART is often known as a cesspool of loathing and endless drama). I mean, it's not up to the artist how much someone wants to pay for an adopt (beyond a starting price, of course). It just seems like sour grapes to me, getting their nuts in a knot because it's not them getting the moolah. :-P
I'm sorry you had to be the target of other peoples' jealousy and/or bitterness. Sometimes people on here talk too much and think too little. Hopefully you'll have better luck with his crayon babies! ^.^

Wow I also checked them out. Most of their gallery are copyrighted photos and bases that they didn't even credit for and if they get gently and nicely reminded to credit they'd snap at whoever tells them so. Even the highest bidder in this adopt told them they should credit the picture and they flipped table on that. Pff wow. I told them the same and I'm waiting to see if they reply. Hah you can give the Pencildog to the second bidder already.
