The continuing saga of getting my eyes fixed.Β
First, I can't really see the computer so there will be typos.
The picture above is an attempt to show my family and my sister how much difference the surgery makes. The first image is only missing the glowing halos bright colors and all light sources have. Fine details were gone. I was shocked to see how old I've gotten! And I still have freckles.
because I am looking through a film of fluid, everything is blurred and has a yellow cast. I have found that I need to turn the brightness setting way down on my phone- from 75 to 80% to 15 to 25%.Β I can see the moon ands bigger stars without glasses. before I had issues with seeing my hand a foot in front of me.
It has been difficult the last two months since the first eye was operated on. that eye is 20/40 and the other one is 20/ 230 or so. Can't wear my glasses unless I close the good eye. I can feel the nausea starting as I'm typing this. eyestrain and headaches are my constant companions.
a couple months after the second surgery I will be able to get new glasses. It will be a cool experience. I can't remember, well, except for my ! month post op visit, when the "which is better? 1 or 2?" actually had an answer. For me it has been "define 'better.'" Now there really is a better, not just a different bad!

Oh wow! Such a difference! And honestly, looking at the first pic made my stomach a little bit angry and yucky!
Here's hoping to a fast recovery! *hugs!*

It was frustrating, but I didn't see all of my wrinkles and age spots. I do now. Lol.
But it's nice to actually see things. And after I get glasses I will see the at a distance, too!

I ignore my wrinkles. And the white hairs I pretend are silver.
And seeing at a distance is something I'd hate to not have!
What I find funny is trying to pick out glasses, wanting to get a pair
that suit me - but I cannot SEE what the hell I'm trying on! LMAO
And yet we pick blindly anyways. Good luck toΒ you once you're ready for
a new pair!!

I'm getting better at ignoring them. It was still easier when I didn't see them, though.=^^=
My hair is more white than ginger nowadays, but I've embraced it. What choice do I have.
Picking glasses is a joke. I usually went with my sister so she could advise me. I hate going on my own. This time, though, I will actually be able to see what they look like! How cool!
