Gecklee are very competitive. Many people will usually find Gecklee fighting other Gecklees to see which is stronger. One should exercise caution around Gecklee for if they awaken it while it is resting, disturb it while eating, or distract it from a fight, Gecklee will spit out poisons from its mouth or scratch with its poison-covered nails. Worse part, Gecklee's speed is on par with Sharpedo. The toxins on Gecklee's nails are so potent that within 5 seconds of being scratched or inhaling the poison, it will cause the target to enter a coma. If not treated, within 12 hours the target will die from all the organs not responding. Gecklee usually hunts for prey by scratching them and eating them while they are unconscious. Many scientists have tried to develop a cure to counteract the poison, but haven't been able to. Gecklee is the only Pokemon capable of learning Venom Claw.
