Description
I'm carrying on with the same theme as the night before's piece. The objective here is to listen to a piece of music and imagine something based only on the sound of the music and/or the lyrics. A similar approach was taken in the 1940 film, Fantasia, only with animation rather than still images. Tonight's artwork was inspired by a piece of Kevin MacLeod's royalty free music, 'Ancient Mystery Waltz (Vivace)'.

I also took some loose inspiration from Tarzan, particularly a chapter that describes a ceremony carried out in a natural amphitheatre using an earthen drum instrument. I left out the more....grizzly aspects of the ceremony. If you've read the book, you'll know why. The instrument you can see the figure playing is an Udu which is the only percussion instrument made from clay which I could find which best matched up with the description of the 'Dum-Dum' described in the book. The book is definitely a problematic one, very evident as to what time it was written in and the views held then which I do not agree with. But it remains one of the most recognisable books covering the human child growing up in the wilderness trope so served as some rough inspiration if only in setting.
