Despite seeing pieces like this in the past, I find this one refreshing in a new way. The different reflections of light coming off of the food gives the piece a nice depth, and also gives a definitive and clear point to trace the light source (A trait that makes the shot look quite refined and thought out). The radiance of the warm colors gives the work a wonderful glow, and draws the viewer's attention to the piece as a whole (i.e. No specific fruit stands out. They all blend into each other.)
The only thing I can think to work on might be the processing of the image. The warm colors, despite beautiful, are done in somewhat excess here. The editing makes the red of the apples and the orange of the, well, oranges seem somewhat identical. For example, the large apple in the lower right-hand corner is more orange than the orange to the lower left of that apple. I'd search for perhaps a more definitive filter that keeps the warm colors blended, but not necessarily to the point where they are indistinguishable. That said, this piece has a special feel to the blended colors. The piece still works wonderfully as it is currently.
To conclude, this is the kind of piece I'd hang in a restaurant or hotel, rather than an art museum. When you put all of your focus into this piece as you would in an art museum, you begin to notice small oddities in the coloration of the fruit. However, in something like a restaurant where the main focus is elsewhere, this piece would work beautifully towards a warm ambiance. This is because the warm colors and smooth/flowing feel of the fruit promote a calm and reflective feeling in the viewer. To really sum it up short and sweet; when viewed as a technical work, there could be some improvement. However, when viewed as an emotional work, this piece is about as close as it comes to flawless.
