David Sobolov is a Canadian actor, voice actor, filmmaker, and voice-over coach, born on October 23, 1964.

Among the many voice roles Sobolov took on, he’s best known for voicing Drax the Destroyer for various Marvel media, as well as the characters of Gorilla Grodd and Lobo for various DC media. Along with reprising the role of Drax for the “Lego Marvel Superheroes” video game, Sobolov voiced Electro and Mysterio. And aside from voicing Grodd and Lobo again for the “Lego DC Supervillains” game, he voiced Doctor Fate, Frankenstein, and a treasure Hunter.

In addition to this, Sobolov has voiced numerous characters for members of the Transformers franchise. For some video games, he voiced a Decepticon named Brawl. In “Transformers: Prime”, he provided the voice of Shockwave. In the 2018 “Bumblebee” film, Sobolov voiced Blitzwing. And in the upcoming “Rise of the Beasts” movie, he’s confirmed to be the voice of Rhinox the Maximal and Battletrap the Terrorcon.

Aside from voice acting, though, Sobolov directed and/or produced some live-action shorts. Most recently, he made his onscreen debut as John Collins for a live-action television series called “Visitors”.

Prior to uploading this photo, I decided that it wouldn't hurt to make some modifications. I did a lot of photo cropping to cut out unnecessary backgrounds, of course. But, I also made the picture a little brighter and dialed down excessive shadows.
