This movie, and its sequel, were among the many that I initially planned on reviewing around the time I was starting out as a reviewer. But, I ultimately saved them for later because there were other films I had a greater interest in giving an analysis of. A couple years ago, though, I finally got around to giving the "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" films a critique thanks to hardly anything else being on my list, which made it easier for me to turn my attention and focus to them. As the emoji, amount of stars, and half number indicates, I didn't think the first movie was 100% perfect. But, I also thought it was as enjoyable and fun as I remembered it being in my youth.

One thing's for sure, "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" is LEAGUES better than "Open Season" will ever be, and for me...this was quite honestly the 'Snow White' of Sony Pictures Animation.
