I will *try* to think of a way this could be better.

A glimpse of something little outside the window, buildings or whatever, would be nice. Little details that aren't focused on are always nice, give you something to come back to and give you a bit of freedom in terms of what to look like.

Love the curtains.

Uh the composition's a little static I guess, all the elements are good but I'd try something a bit more asymmetrical? with difference in scale, either more or less orange wall in shot.

It feels like this is a section from a page, would that be correct? presumably there's going to be text somewhere and I wouldn't advise this format. In a kid's picture book there's usually more a sense of an environment with lots of things to look at and see to stimulate their tiny brains.
