Oooh, I'm not sure if I like how this one turned out. The hair looks a little off and the background's kind of distracting and for some reason reminds me of Kingdom Hearts. Nevertheless, it's always nice to make crossover fanart of the things you're into, and this one calls to attention a very important issue: how many hearts and crosses I can put into a single background.

Anyhoo, my tastes in music are rather eclectic, as are my tastes in cartoons. So today I decided to combine a musician I've been into for a while, Mr Strange, with an anime I've only just started getting into, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. Mr Strange isn't exactly well-known, but they devise music that covers a range of styles, from steampunk beats to creepy circus-y stuff (and I think there's a surf anthem in there somewhere). Panty and Stocking, meanwhile, is a little more well-known, but for those who are unaware it's an anime about two fallen angels who are cast out of Heaven on account of their sinful behaviour, and try to buy their way back in by collecting money from destroying spo0o0oky ghosts by turning their underwear into weapons. The first episode has them fighting a giant monster made of poo. It's one of 'those' animes.

Today, Mr Strange released a new album called 'The Bible of Electric Pornography', an electro-themed album which combines elements of (ir)religion with elements of... well, pornography. They annouced this back in October, and as soon as I saw it I could think of nothing but Panty and Stocking and basically had this artwork planned out from that moment, even though they really aren't that similar and talk about faith and dogma in different ways. Still, they're the only two things I'm aware of that cross over scripture with smut, so here's the illogical conclusion of that mindset! ...Yes, it's absolutely atrocious and a reskin for all intents and purposes... but don't they just look adorable?
