A Smiling Dragon to brighten your day! Hi everyone! I've finally completed this beautiful creature! His buyer requested a medium sized golden smiling dragon with a fluffy under belly! Trying to sculpt a happy and friendly expression was such a challenge but I am so pleased with the results! I encountered a few hiccups with this pretty fella, from supplies arriving late, to having the wrong materials, and even issues with photographing it. Because of how dark its colour pallet was It was so hard to capture all of its details properly, but despite all of this I had a blast creating this very happy creature! I used a large variety of materials while crafting him, I used two different materials for his scales, a gold sequin mesh and a dull gold scale print fabric. For the wings and spines I used a faux leather black material. And for the shimmery scales and fins I tried my hand at iridescent angella film which Is now my absolute favourite material! I then embellished him with iridescent gems and painted him with metallics. I couldnt resist stippling a little silver sparkle above its eyes to contrast the blacks and coppery golds. This was my last commission order and this dragon is awaiting his last payment before I ship him off to his forever home. Please note everyone that this is a custom design that I made specifically for this one client and will not replicate it for any other. Each creature is one of a kind!
