I love this photo. The idea that something so fragile was broken by an axe, something intended for hard labor, was a concept that I have managed to never see an example of before.
The detail of the picture, especially the grain on both the axe handle and blade, has such clarity. In addition, the pose of the axe, as if it is being withdrawn, and the appearance of a tight grip on the handle are superb. However, the egg yolk appears to be flat as if it was sitting out for awhile (which is understandable) and looks similar to paint to me. All in all, this is a wonderful photo.

Nice composition, although I feel the axe itself is too clean to produce the right atmosphere here. I think if it was dirty, more used, maybe dented, it would make for a much grittier image.

I don't mean to nitpick, but your model is holding the axe incorrectly. If the axe is supposed to be in motion, then the hands should be together at the far end of the handle. Otherwise, this is a very nice photo. The concept is pretty interesting.

Nicely composed, although I think this image lacks the visual impact that I'm used to seeing from you. Perhaps some motion blur or dramatic stopped motion?
Conceptually poignant, especially considering recent events. Very subtle

Interesting how you keep your stance neutral by neither denying nor confirming any relation to the current hot topic
Very nice piece though, even if it's "not related to the spyed vs jark" thing, it still seems appropriate with what's been going on. It defintiely hasn't been a slow or soft separation, in essence it's exactly as you depict it, it's a small fragile object and this whole ordeal's given it a powerful slam right through the middle, dividing a lot of people because of the stances they take.
