Description
...(red)ical solution...I thought, the best way to test out my new Sony 828 is a macro-shot, so here it is...
This was a pretty damn difficult thing to do. Especially the blood-part. I'm sorry it wound be too difficult to explain the whole thing, so i don't..
Technical Informations
Thanks go out to:
*fritsch for helping me. As always. He's the man. I had most of my photography ideas while talking to him. He's my muse
*aap , my bro and Marc: for helping me to come up with a title

Great shot. I love it. The essence of blood is very well represented. I was thinking in doing something similar, however i was thinking in trying to capture the image of a glass full of blood smashing against the floor. However there isn't too much sun yet for this picture and i don't have the money for a decent lamp. Their very expensive. I'll have to wait 'till summer or spring.
Once again it's an awsome shot

Well, you know my call on this one. You should've thrown on Freaky Fred (okay, I'm obsessed with that pic but that's okay because I'm insane anyway) instead of this one, it's way better. Either way, impressive work and from the list of ingredients you have been very resourceful. It's good technical photography, just a little plain imagewise. Also, the glass looks like it was just throw on top, and not actually involved in the whole bloodshedding .
Great title. No clue what the connection with the image is, but whatever. I'll figure it out...or did you mean RADICAL solution? Let me know.
OMG, plz.

Beautiful colour contrasts... and such a profound meaning behind the image and the title.
There's the feeling of " -gasp- ... what have I done."
The blood looks too pinkish and watery though, in the upper corner. Nevermind though.
So what's butter got to do with it, if you don't mind sharing your secret?

The colours all look fantastic together, especially the bright red compared to the white background. The way the light is captured in the glass looks great, too. Fantastic job

Anyway, great idea and execution.
Maybe butter thickened up the blood?

i like it

creatyves In reply to joedurden2k1 [2004-02-04 08:30:20 +0000 UTC]
Nope...the white part doesn't have anything to do with photoshop..used a white stage..(big piece of paper, 2 spots)
Thanks...

now THIS is a macro/studio blood shot i like! the blood and broken glass are an obvious pair - no nonsensical bleeding eggplant or whatever (no disrespect to those who've shot bleeding vegetables, i'm just saying it's not my bag). this gets a real response from me - a real visceral "ouch!" i like it a lot!
