Description Chapter 2: Where Clouds Fade into Snow

If you fixed the token on the last mountain:

Unlike your last stop, you find yourself not at the foot of this mountain, but at its peak. From your spot atop the jagged, snow-dappled summit, you are treated to a view of a grand mountain range. Brushstroke-peaks crest against a sapphire sky, the sun transforming snow into shining, luminescent sheets. After enjoying the view for a while, you feel rather than hear a familiar call—the same energy is beckoning you once more, with sonorous chimes that blossom deep in your chest. Directing your attention upwards, you follow the feeling up and through scarce pine trees. Their nettles look frail, and some of their branches have been scattered or left limply hanging on damaged trunks. After a short walk up and across the snow, you find a small alcove in the mountainside where another little shrine awaits you. Its token lies broken around its base, pulsing ringing energy and beckoning you.

Option Two: This time, peering at the dilapidated shrine and its broken treasure, you decide to leave the token untouched. Perhaps it is your general unease with being whisked away to fix mysterious artifacts, or the growing frustration at the repetition of these shrines. Maybe you are simply curious to see what will happen, or are in the firm belief to let growth and decay happen without your involvement. Regardless, the circle of fallen needles dusting the ground seems to hold its breath in anticipation, and exhales as you retreat. You wince, stepping on the too-cold snow and thorny, discarded needles as you tread away from the shrine's alcove. The wind falls still and silent; the only noise you hear are your too-loud footsteps ringing through the mountains.

Miimilly decided to leave the shrine alone, a little confused as to why she would even be there to help it.
