UPDATE: I've updated the render to increase the ring reflection, brighten the colours with a lens effect (Advantix 200CD) and add a bloom to the crystal light. Its now baked up to 2.4 kS/p.

The idea came from making a cup of tea. When I switched on the kettle the red light reflected off my wedding ring and I thought about cupping a light source e.g. Tinkerbell in one's hands, with the light reflecting off the ring. As you can see, the ring reflection didn't work but I really like how this turned out.

1.6 kS/p baked for the equivalent of 44 hours on my home PC (I used network rendering on Amazon). 2 softboxes, 1 pointlight, sun and IBL.
